Allison Morris

Allison Morris is Professor in Criminology and has been the Director of the Institute of Criminology at Victoria University of Wellington since 1993. From 1973 to 1993, she was a lecturer in criminology and then Reader in Criminal Justice at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge. Previously she was a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh for four years. She is a law graduate from the University of Edinburgh, and studied criminology at the University of Cambridge and at Columbia University, New York. She has carried out research on the juvenile justice systems in Scotland, England, and New Zealand. Her main teaching and research areas currently are 'youth and crime', 'women and crime', and 'victims'.
